Ford Prefect is a chatacter from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. He is the friend of Arthur Dent and semi-half brother to Zaphod Beeblebrox. He was on Earth posing as an out-of-work actor when he met Arthur. His real job is to gather infromation for "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." HIs real name is Ix, and he shares "Three of the same mothers" as Zaphod.
